Hosted at GUREZ — The official athletic delegation and academy administration have formally published specifications regarding this upcoming championship event.

Gurez Sports Festival 2026 is scheduled to be held in the first week of September 2026, bringing together athletes, sports officials, associations and sports enthusiasts for a multi-discipline sporting event in Gurez. The festival will feature four District Official Championships, providing a platform for athletes to compete, showcase their abilities and promote organised sports at the grassroots level. Championships: 1. District Rugby Championship, Bandipora** 2. District Wushu Championship, Bandipora 3. District Pencak Silat Championship, Bandipora Organised By: The championships are being organised by the respective district sports associations: 1. District Rugby Association 2. Notes to Editors:

  • When a participant reaches four or more demerit points within a competitive 24-month cycle, they are converted into suspension points resulting in temporary match bans.
  • Two suspension points equate to a mandatory ban from one Test fixture or two ODIs / T20Is, whichever comes first for the athlete.
  • Demerit points remain on an athlete or support personnel's formal disciplinary ledger for a period of twenty-four (24) months from their imposition, following which they will be expunged.
